Mission: "Unity Around the Cross"
The purpose of The Iona Passion Play has always been to bring together people from various Christian persuasions in an ecumenical gesture aimed at bringing before the minds of a community the true meaning of Easter.

All associated with the Play are conscious of their missionary role in portraying the story of Christ's love. One day is set aside for Reflection each year.
Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father! In your hands I place my spirit!"
He said this and died.
